NO GAP FEE to approved TAC Clients
If you’ve been injured in a motor vehicle / transport accident in Victoria, you are eligible to access physiotherapy at no cost to you through the TAC. The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) covers eligible costs of physiotherapy treatment, following a car, bike, tram accident or as a pedestrian
What is the TAC and what does it cover?
The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) is a Victorian government funded program that pays for medical costs including physiotherapy at the approved Mont Albert Physiotherapy Clinic for people injured in transport accidents.
TAC assists in covering the cost of :
- Hospital and GPs
- Physiotherapy and rehabilitation
- Support for return to work and sport
Mont Albert Physiotherapy is an approved service provider following the TAC specific guidelines. This provides a smoother treatment and management transition for patients. This comes with no-gap fees through our clinic.
Eligibility for TAC Approved Physiotherapy
You are eligible if:
- You were injured in a transport accident in Victoria.
- The accident involved a motor vehicle, tram, bike or pedestrian
- You lodge and receive approval for a TAC claim. (bring your claim number with you)
You do not need to have gone to hospital immediately after the transport accident. Many clients present to Mont Albert Physiotherapy with symptoms that they notice several days later. This is common and if the accident was reported it can still be covered under the TAC.
Lodging a TAC claim
Once your claim is approved, you’ll receive a TAC claim number. Bring this and any relevant X-Rays, scans or medical notes to your appointment at Mont Albert Physiotherapy.
You do not need a GP referral to begin receiving physiotherapy treatment.
TAC & Mont Albert Physiotherapy
- After any road-related incident, you should still present to Mont Albert Physiotherapy for an in-depth assessment and relevant treatment.
- If you do not yet have a claim number, you will be given a receipt of payment for your Physiotherapy assessment & treatment. You will be reimbursed by TAC once your claim has been approved and you receive your claim number.
- This is all part of Mont Albert Physiotherapy being an approved and registered TAC Physiotherapy clinic.
